Thai-Taiwan Exchange Student Experience: Day 4
星期三好大家!(Hello Wednesday). Today (July 31, 2019), I work up a little bit later than in previous days (8.00 AM). This today morning we have a Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP). At 9.00 AM, I together with my fellows headed to the university's main gym for attending the therapy. We first had a warm-up session following by dancing session, and cool-down session in finally.
We had taken for 3 hours in the therapy and all participants including me felt so tired that we desired to have a shower again at noon. We had a shower very quickly due to the short limited time we have before getting the bus heading to Pingtung County Timur Elementary School. At 1 o'clock in the afternoon, we departed the university going to school and we reached the school 1 hour later.
The teacher representing the school gave us a very warmed welcome and told a summarized story of the school since it was established as a small school until became a county elementary school at present. The Pingtung County Timur Elementary School is the school providing an inclusive education as well as expending the opportunity to the children from a small tribe in Pingtung called Timur tribe (also known as Paiwan people).
The school's curriculums in all every subject were designed with the Local-Based Curriculum Development which allows the local specializers, scholars, to name but a few, to participate in its curriculum development processes. All contents taught in the school came from the local's story and context because students could learn better if they learn something with the story or the context that they get used to.
