TESOL Hackathon Thailand ประจำปี 2565 เป็นโครงการที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจาก สมาคมศิษย์เก่าโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนไทย-สหรัฐอเมริกา (Thailand-United States Alumni Association: TUSAA) ร่วมกับโครงการ Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) โดยสถานทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย

ในช่วงเดือนพฤศจิกายนที่ผ่านมา โครงการ TESOL Hackathon Thailand ประจำปี 2565 ได้เปิดรับสมัครและคัดเลือกครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษระดับมัธยมศึกษาจำนวน 30 คน จากผู้สมัครรวมกว่า 500 คนจากทั่วประเทศ เพื่อเดินทางมาเข้าร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้และแบ่งปันประสบการณ์ตรงที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความท้าทายและปัญหาการสอนภาษาอังกฤษในช่วงหลังสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019

ซึ่งการเข้าร่วมโครงการ TESOL Hackathon Thailand ประจำปี 2565 ในครั้งนี้ ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการจะได้ร่วมกันสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมเพื่อตอบสนองต่อประเด็นความท้าทายในการสอนภาษาอังกฤษจำนวน 4 ด้าน ได้แก่

1) ความท้าทายในการสอนคำศัพท์

2) ความท้าทายในการสอนไวยากรณ์

3) ความท้าทายในการส่งเสริมเจตคติและทัศนคติที่มีต่อภาษาอังกฤษ และ

4) ความท้าทายในเชิงนโยบายและการบริหารการศึกษา

และสิ่งที่สำคัญไปกว่านั้น ในช่วงท้ายของวันจัดกิจกรรมได้มีการแข่งขันนำเสนอแนวคิดและนวัตกรรมเพื่อตอบสนองต่อประเด็นความท้าทายในการสอนภาษาอังกฤษข้างต้น ซึ่งได้รับเกียรติจากท่านคณะกรรมการที่มีความรู้ ความเชี่ยวชาญ และประสบการณ์ตรงด้านการสอนภาษาอังกฤษและด้านการบริหารการศึกษา ร่วมเป็นผู้ตัดสินผลการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ด้วย

แล้วพบกันใหม่ใน Season ถัดไปกับ TESOL Hackathon Thailand คุณอาจจะเป็น Hacker คนต่อไปในวงการการศึกษาก็เป็นได้

The TESOL Hackathon Thailand 2022 was supported by the Thailand-United States Alumni Association (TUSAA) in collaboration with the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) under the U.S. Embassy in Thailand.

In November 2022, TESOL Hackathon Thailand opened applications and selected 30 secondary school English teachers from over 500 applicants nationwide to participate in a collaborative learning experience. Participants shared direct insights and challenges in teaching English in the post-COVID-19 context.

During the program, participants collaboratively developed innovative solutions to address four key challenges in English language teaching:

Challenges in teaching vocabulary
Challenges in teaching grammar
Challenges in fostering positive attitudes and mindsets toward English
Challenges in educational policy and school administration

At the end of the day, participants competed to present their innovative ideas and solutions for these challenges. The presentations were judged by a panel of experts with extensive experience in English teaching and educational administration.
